ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT  is a common and convenient adhesive in construction and daily life. According to the curing mechanism and reaction characteristics of ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT products, it can be divided into single component and two-component. Single component silicone sealant is cured by cross-linking reaction generated by contacting moisture in the air and absorbing heat. It is a common product in the market. It is mostly used for pasting household decoration, kitchen and bathroom, sunshine plate glass, fish tank, glass curtain wall Common civil engineering such as aluminum plastic plate pasting.

Two component ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT products are packaged and stored separately in groups A and B. component A is generally white and component B is black. The two components need to be mixed before curing and bonding can be achieved. Silicon acetate sealant products are generally used in engineering, such as insulating glass deep-processing manufacturers, curtain wall engineering construction, etc. it is a product with easy storage and strong stability.

（2） Application method of ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT products

1. Application of ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT products:

One component ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT can be used immediately. It is easy to hit it from the plastic bottle with a glue gun, and its surface can be trimmed with a spatula or wood chips.

2. Adhesive time of ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT:

The curing process of ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT material develops inward from the surface, and the surface drying time and curing time of silica gel with different characteristics are different. Therefore, if the surface is to be repaired, it must be carried out before the surface drying of glass adhesive (generally, acid adhesive and neutral transparent adhesive should be within 5-10 minutes, and neutral variegated adhesive should be within 30 minutes). If color separation paper is used to cover a certain place, it must be removed before the outer skin is formed after gluing.

3. Curing time of ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT:

The curing time of ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT increases with the increase of bonding thickness. For example, 12mm thick acid glass adhesive may take 3-4 days to set, but 3mm outer layer has been cured within about 24 hours. When bonding glass, metal or most wood, it has a peel strength of 20 lb / in after 72 hours at room temperature.

If the place where ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT is used is partially or completely closed, the curing time is determined by the tightness of the sealing. In an absolutely closed place, it is possible to remain non solidified forever. Increasing the temperature will soften the glass glue. The gap between metal and metal bonding surface shall not exceed 25mm. In various bonding occasions, including closed conditions, the bonding effect shall be comprehensively checked before the bonded equipment is used.

During the curing process of ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT, a smell will be generated due to the volatilization of acetic acid. This smell will disappear during the curing process and there will be no peculiar smell after curing.

4. Bonding of ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT products:

A. Wipe the metal and plastic surfaces completely and remove the oil stain. Then, in addition to rinsing all surfaces with acetone, the rubber surface shall be polished with sandpaper and then wiped with acetone. Please observe the precautions when using acetone.

B. Apply the silicon acetate sealant evenly on the prepared object surface. If the two surfaces are bonded, first find the position of one side and then squeeze the other side with enough force to squeeze out the air, but be careful not to squeeze out the silicon acetate sealant.

C. Place the bonding device at room temperature and wait for the glass adhesive to cure.

5. Sealing of ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT:

When using the ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT products for sealing, also follow the above steps. Squeeze the silicon acetate sealant into the joint surface or gap to make the glass glue fully contact with the surface.

6. Cleaning of ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT material:

Before curing, the ACETIC SILICONE SEALANT material can be wiped off with cloth or paper towel. After curing, it must be scraped off with a scraper or scrubbed with xylene, acetone and other solvents.
